Got Hemp?

Got Hemp?

Hemp is a form of Cannabis which has no "psychoactive" properties.  This means there is very little to no tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in the plant so you cant get high off of it. On the other hand Hemp does produce Cannabidiol (CBD), which can give your body a feeling of calmness and relaxation. Hemp is a plant that may be fresh in the mainstream scene but it's far from new.

Hemp was one of the first plants made into useable fiber 10,000 years ago. Hemp was used in America for a variety of reasons from food and medicine to rope and paper. It wasn't until the 1940s that hemp started to decline because of unnecessary taxes imposed by lobbyist who felt threatened by hemp. In 1970 The Controlled Substances Act classified hemp as an illegal Schedule I drug. Then in 2018 president Donald Trump passed the Farm Bill to legalize hemp and make way for the next generation of Patriotic American Hemp Farmers.
